WELCOME one and all to the Queer/LGBTI Department website! We're part of the Student Representative Council, and it's our job to support and represent all students on campus who are queer - that is, people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, genderqueer, etc.
SESSION 1 2009 MEETINGS: There are three regular meetings running in the Queer Space in session 1, Weeks 1-12:
- Queer Collective (Mixed): 3-5PM Thursdays
- Queer Boys: 2-4PM Tuesdays
- Queer Girls: 11.30AM-1.30PM Wednesdays
THE QUEER SPACE: The Queer Space is room 920 on level 9 of the Chemical Sciences building (Map Reference F10). Just turn right when you exit the elevators, and then right again and it's at the end of the hallway on the right. It's open during scheduled meetings and events.
Outside of these times, during business hours, you can sign out a key from the Arc Reception, on the Ground Floor of the Blockhouse (Map Reference G6) - just ask for the "Q" key.
The Space is a safe space for all students who are queer, questioning or queer-friendly. It has safer sex supplies, information supplies, couches, a fridge, kettle, sandwich maker, and a phone. Check out the map:

GIRLS E-MAIL LIST: To be kept up-to-date on events just for the girls, subscribe to our e-mail list below. You should sign up for the general list as well, as general queer events will only be posted to that list.
FACEBOOK: We've got two Facebook groups - one mixed group and one just for the girls. They're both "secret" groups, so they don't turn up on your profile and you can't search for them. To join, e-mail queer@arc.unsw.edu.au and ask to be invited.
